Of nature

She calls to me in whispers of wind
She speaks to me in the array of colors in bloom and in death
Her face like the serenity of sunrise
Her arms embrace me in valleys of a hidden horizon
Her secrets revealed as I sit beside her streams and water falls cascading through my blood and retelling the stories of her birth caressing her children with the trees and mountains
Her language is a tongue spoken to each of my senses, knowing just when I need to be freed from the bondage of the burdens I carry knowing that my “problems” are only a reflection of my perception and that perception changes as I run deeper into her embrace
Each bird that sings seems to sing to me each leaf that falls a tribute to spring and the coming rebirth of redemption
As she gives up her ghost for winters cold host in her wisdom she tells me it’s fleeting just like the life I live with its darkness and light
but when the sun shines again she reminds me to be still and contemplate the moment
To be alive and live life free
she will always be a part of me and I need her to breathe…
