Cloud gazing for 54 seconds
Fire
A night spent around a fire brings out the depths of some people. I feel it is in our instincts from tribal times to open the lines of communication and reflect while gathered round a fire. There is something almost magical watching flames dance crackle and drift under a star filled sky.

Free write, spoken Entitled: “Unspoken Greeting when Strangers meet” was written in NYC on a park bench while sitting next to a stranger who seemed lonely, so I wrote this inspired by her. Interesting how we as humans can choose to simply observe or interact with each other. For me the lack of actual interaction was my muse.

I was a Drama queen in training 8 year old pretty in pink cry and throw myself down to the ground to create my little private earth quake of getting my own way at all means necessary- blame it on my sibling rivalry temper tantrum pow wow of Keds looking for parental policies to veto kid brothers trespassing tap on my ears mosquito buzzing taunts and teases- mother back hands tear drop boy...
